. helping ease constipation & inflammation
//\ ||| -= for the liquid portion of this, i use coconut water (if you're in a tropical place, get it fresh!) or coconut milk, but you can also use plain water or any other milk you're into. for a sweetener, i might add a little raw agave syrup or raw honey, but vanilla extract or raw cane syrup/juice are good options as well.
//\ ||| -= pre-soak the dates in liquid for as long as it takes for them to soften so they will blend properly with the other ingredients. the soaking time depends on whether your dates are already super soft or not. some you may want to soak overnight, others only a few minutes. also, you can adjust the amount of dates you use according to your personal taste.
//\ ||| -= i always keep bananas pre-chopped in my freezer specifically for smoothie-making because they cut out the need to add ice (which can water down the drink), & they also make for a lovely creamy texture.
//\ ||| -= in addition to or instead of flaxseed, you can throw in a green superfood powder, cacao, maca, malunggay, chia seeds, or the contents of your organic multivitamin capsule.
//\ ||| -= i fancied this mix up a bit. you can actually just do bananas & dates or bananas & greens or even just the greens, whatever you want really. play around, have fun with your smoothies!
